First and foremost, TRUMP WINS the 2024 Presidential Election!!! A historic win for America and Nebraska!!! The tireless efforts of the Trump Force 47 team, including our state’s leaders Joe Hagerty, Carson Clayton, Madeline Hart, and the hundreds of volunteers that knocked doors, made phone calls, and otherwise volunteered their time or donated their money truly paid off!!! They can not be thanked enough!!!
As far as state legislative races go, a HUGE congratulations to Bob Andersen and his team for unseating Jen “Half” Day!!! That is a huge win and will have a huge impact on passing legislation through the HHS committee! (Depending on who replaces her, of course.)

Ballot Initiatives 434 – 439:
434 – passed (Protect Women and Children Initiative)
435 – repealed (LB1402 Private Scholarship Fund – often described as support for School Choice)
436 – passed (Mandated Sick Leave)
437 – passed (Medical Marijuana)
438 – passed (Medical Marijuana)
439 – rejected (Pro Abortion Initiative)
In an unsurprising end, the ProAbortion initiative 439 was defeated outright with a good margin against the measure. We maintain that 434 was an unnecessary response to 439 and that much like SD and FL, the initiative would have been defeated outright without the confusion and division amongst pro Life groups and organizations. We hope to see a path taken forward to the elimination of abortion access in this state and that 434 will not ultimately hinder our efforts.
Let it be stated that those who resorted to malicious attacks on the groups and individuals who saw through the fear mongering and recommended a no vote to both should never be looked to for leadership decisions in the future. These individuals and groups utilized the same tactics and censorship that was applied during the pandemic to all those who dared to ask questions or rejected the expert worship.
The results of 435 and 436 highlight just how little many voters educate themselves on ballot initiatives prior to voting. These 2 initiatives had the least amount of information circulated and led to a major upset on both issues. We can only hope that a mandated sick leave won’t cause a sudden decline in small businesses in Nebraska.
Lastly, 437 and 438 both passed with a huge majority of support. Crazy enough, despite the obvious support of the will of the people to legalize Medical Marijuana, the Attorney General, Mike Hilgers, remains a staunch opponent, hell bent on stopping these measures in court.
NAGO had not previously taken a position on these ballot initiatives, while we support the legalization of a plant that has numerous medical benefits, it’s unfortunate to see the people back an effort that places the entire industry within the monopoly of the medical community and government regulation. (Big Pharma and Big Government)
Down Ballot and Local County Races:
NAGO was thrilled to support so many amazing candidates for races across the state at the local levels; school boards, city and village council, county supervisors, NRDs, and community college boards. We can’t thank each and every one of them enough for taking their time and hard earned dollars to run for these elections.
Elected NAGO Endorsed candidates:
Adam Gotschall – Metropolitan Community College Board of Governor’s
Steve McNally – Norfolk School Board
Jeff Jensen – Norfolk City Council
Sue Beckman – Norfolk City Council
Deb Virgl – Mead School Board
Laurie Smaus – East Butler School Board
Eddie Maly – Weston Village Board
Pat Beckham – Bellevue Public School Board
Paul Pleskach – Schuyler Public School Board
Congratulations to you all! We look forward to your efforts in preserving our liberty and stopping government overreach!!!
The Federal Delegation of Republican representatives squeaked by with several narrow wins. Senator Fischer and Congressman Bacon came in with a rough start, and Bacon won with only 2.5% more of the votes. Ricketts, Flood, and Smith won in a landslide for each of their races.
The very important question has been asked – “How do [ you ] suggest the [ We The People ] go about making sure Deb Fischer, Don Bacon, Mike Flood, and others who vote as RINOs, know with certainty that they need to change their ways because we will not vote for them ever again if they don’t?”
We weren’t asked directly, but we’ll go ahead and answer this question. You don’t. They have determined, very publicly at times, that they don’t have to listen to us, their constituents. They don’t need us [ in their opinion ], so they don’t listen. Some are worse than others *cough* BACON *cough* but we could very easily point to examples for each. (Check out our candidate assessment on the NAGO Election Guide.)
Instead, a team should be devoted NOW to finding and campaigning for strong conservative candidates that have the ability, drive, and funding to primary these politicians. The last 2 elections NAGO has rejected both candidates for all of the federal delegation – our guess, we’re far from the only ones who would rather not vote than continue to “hold our nose” or vote for the “lesser of two evils”. If you wanna see the Omaha and Lincoln areas go solid red, give them a candidate worth going red for!!!
Finish the Flip… or not.
First – CONGRATULATIONS LISA SCHONHOFF!!! We’re so glad to see all of the efforts put into your campaign come to fruition! That being said, the State Board of Education races were highly disappointing – through no fault of the candidates themselves. Each of the candidates absolutely worked their butts off, and they should be proud of the effort they put forward. We hope they continue to stand for our children, the parents, and teachers of the State of Nebraska!!!
In conclusion:
In conclusion, TRUMP WON!!!
Haha!
All in all, we had a pretty good election for the Republicans! A good friend of ours, Todd Watson, recently pointed out that we are so much further ahead than we were even 4 years ago. There has been disappointment, disagreement, and loss, yes, but we continue to move the needle in the right direction.
Our future, our freedoms, are dependent on OUR actions. What we’re willing to put into it will be the determining factor. Trump winning the presidential election and the Republicans taking control of the house and senate gives a lot of people a much needed feeling of hope and peace – but! We can not let the momentum and participation fizzle out.
Stay involved! Go to your local county GOP meetings, your local board meetings, MAKE A PLAN, any plan, so long as we keep working to move that needle!
In the future, we do hope to put greater effort into providing further guidance on judges, sheriffs, and local county seats. If you would like to participate in a team dedicated to vetting and reporting on candidates and elected officials, contact us today! Info@nago.group

Hi Nago. I totally agree and love your newsletter. Hopefully it is okay that I share it with my Trumper friends. I especially want to thank you for putting out there my same feelings about Bacon and the rinos. Also, I am open to helping in a small way to better our Nebraska. Let me know what is open around Omaha.
Thanks again.

Hello, Nago
I have been trying to have an effect on Rino Washington County. Went to Brannon Howse convention in Mo. So I am trying to hookup with localactivist.org. They have a training program for those who want to be more effective.
Thanks for all your info.

While the outcome was generally good, it saddens me that so many STILL believe the government should have authority over….a plant n small business. STILL voting on emotions n not taking the time to READ and self educate. I can’t believe….on voting day….people were still questioning who they should vote for or how they should vote on initiatives. But I am most sad about our babies. Faux Christians abound. Let us pray the error of our ways does not inhibit future success in saving ALL children.
Looking forward to how things change under Trump again. Nebraskans do have that glory to be thankful for.
