Wednesday at noon we will be joining Freedom Rally USA, NE Freedom Keepers, People’s Rights and many more for the Nationwide Walkout happening across the country and supported by countless other grassroots groups.
In addition to the nationwide effort we are taking the opportunity to refocus our efforts in obtaining a special session to implement protections from medical mandates. In coordination with FRUSA we have invited the 28 Senators that signed on for a special session to join us and ensure their support goes beyond signing a piece of paper.
In addition, we invited Governor Pete Ricketts. Ricketts maintains a strong conservative position in the political world – we aim to hold him accountable to that. Our Governor could, at any time, call for a special session WITHOUT the need for the prior support of 33 Senators.
His insistence for the support of 33 Senators is to ensure a “win”. Our goal is to convey to him that our “win” is to have our senators go on the record in stating their position. Our goal is to prevent 10s if not 100s of thousands of Nebraskans from losing their livelihoods in the next few weeks to come.
Today I spoke with a man who recieved immunosuppressive treatments for his brain cancer, his oncologist had previously written a note stating he should not get the shot, when asked by the employer – the encologist flopped and said he could get it. His medical exemption has been denied.
This man doesn’t deserve to lose his job next week because he isn’t willing to take a medical procedure that could very well interfere with his current treatment plan.
Yet our government’s inaction allows these kinds of atrocities to continue. This man’s family is dependent on his income, and our Governor and many Senators don’t want to convene a special session because it “costs too much” or “they’ll meet in January anyway”.
That’s not good enough.
This story is not rare today. Nebraskans Against Government Overreach hears from dozens, somedays hundreds, of individuals subject to lose everything every single day.
This only ends when EVERYONE joins together. When we all come together in the square and proclaim our removal from any parts of society that support the infringement of our civil liberties. And. We have to mean it.
Continue to contact our civil servants. They deserve to know every day about this issue until it is resolved.
Join us Wednesday at Noon on the north steps of the Capitol in Lincoln NE for the Nationwide Walkout and a Rally for Freedom!
Reminder: it is a requirement for all participants of NAGO events to be peaceful, respectful and fully law abiding. Failure to do so will lead to immediate dissociation and possible law enforcement involvement should it be needed.
We must ensure not to block traffic, entrances and exits for both pedestrian and vehicular traffic. Please clean up after yourself and have fun!
