NAGO Assessment:
1. Must be Peaceful, Respectful and Fully Law Abiding (#1 Rule of NAGO) – Not to be confused with complying to tyrannical or overreaching law.
PASS.
2. Supports and Participates in NAGO Calls to Action
FAIL. Many NAGO Leaders and Members have attempted to engage this elected official with very little positive to say. Smith has never displayed any level of interest in NAGO efforts or calls to action.
3. Supports Individual Freedoms
FAIL.
4. Supports and Participates with Liberty Minded NE Grassroots Efforts – Team Player
FAIL.
5. Attends Local Meetings
FAIL.
6. Presents a Sense of Patriotism
FAIL.
7. Outspoken/Well-spoken on Inalienable Rights
FAIL. There have been many opportunities to hear from Smith over the last few years and we have yet to experience a memorable message where he instills our confidence in guarding our inalienable rights.
8. Doesn’t Cater to False Narratives
FAIL.
9. Acts/Serves/Talks/Promises in the Best Interest of Others – Type of Leader
FAIL. Although he is active with other elected officials at the county level by sharing information about federal grants that can help out Nebraskans, he prefers to only send representatives from his office who unfortunately don’t have much to offer.
10. Prior Involvement/Achievements in Liberty Minded Efforts or Government
FAIL. Smith makes little effort to be present or active in Nebraska, preferring to send representatives on his behalf whom he cycles through at an alarming rate. He is lots of talk and little action.
SCORE: 1/10
Summary of Candidate
Adrian Smith is a weak conservative. Many of his actions, while politically understandable, do not uphold the values and efforts of NAGO. While many feel that to participate you must play the game, we value those who do not violate what is constitutional. Smith has had many solid liberty-minded individuals working within in camps, unfortunately, there’s little if any reflection of that when serving his constituents.
