NAGO Assessment:
1. Must be Peaceful, Respectful and Fully Law Abiding (#1 Rule of NAGO) – Not to be confused with complying to tyrannical or overreaching law.
FAIL. Pete Ricketts actions in accordance with the NEGOP are questionable. Several former ‘leaders’ of the NEGOP that are closely affiliated with Ricketts are heavily linked to the break in at the NEGOP headquarters following a transition in leadership roles. Ricketts use of money to get his way, shows he has no respect for the law. Furthermore, Ricketts has recruited others in years past to lodge false claims against political opponents in order to influence the outcomes of our local elections.
2. Supports and Participates in NAGO Calls to Action
FAIL. Many NAGO Leaders and Members have attempted to engage this elected official with very little positive to say. Ricketts has never displayed any level of interest in NAGO efforts or calls to action.
3. Supports Individual Freedoms
FAIL. While Ricketts imposed lesser restrictions in 2020 than many of the liberal states. Ricketts outright refused to allow a special session amidst medical mandates.
4. Supports and Participates with Liberty Minded NE Grassroots Efforts – Team Player
FAIL.
5. Attends Local Meetings
FAIL. Ricketts attends private, elitist, and/or GOP related events. He does not stick around to talk to constituents and those that manage to get his attention are not likely to get more than a minute or two of his time.
6. Presents a Sense of Patriotism
FAIL. Listening to Ricketts speak often leaves people feeling disturbed or irritated. They never quite receive the explanation they are looking for.
7. Outspoken/Well-spoken on Inalienable Rights
FAIL. Ricketts was comfortable allowing the NE State Department of Health to dictate the covid policies’ for corporations and hospital systems that systematically removed the rights of their employees.
8. Doesn’t Cater to False Narratives
FAIL. Ricketts was one of the largest proponents of TEST Nebraska, which was responsible for dispersing the Covid PCR tests and subsequently lost millions of dollars in invoicing.
9. Acts/Serves/Talks/Promises in the Best Interest of Others – Type of Leader
FAIL.

Summary of Candidate
Pete Ricketts is a danger to all Nebraskans. While he splashes himself across Nebraska headlines (media owned by his family and close friends), it is obvious Ricketts is out of touch with the pressing needs of Nebraskans. It is easy to say inflation is a problem, yet Ricketts is actively pushing for additional assistance programs similar to the SNAP benefits here in Nebraska. Ricketts made the bold claim that this would not cost ANY taxpayer dollars… how else do create a new government program? Ricketts has no problem throwing money around to make things look a certain way, yet his actions show a direct lack of desire to serve the people of Nebraska.
Pertinent Evidence & Observations
See Ricketts Covid Policies, his refusal to protect NE waterways & the Ogallala Aquifer, and his use of family money to get what he wants, often at the expense of others.
