Candidate Assessment: Jackson, Clarice (R)

NAGO Assessment:

1. Must be Peaceful, Respectful and Fully Law Abiding (#1 Rule of NAGO) – Not to be confused with complying to tyrannical or overreaching law.
PASS.

2. Supports and Participates in NAGO Calls to Action
FAIL. According to Clarice Jackson, NAGO is a “no go”.

3. Supports Individual Freedoms
FAIL. Her only conveyed platform has been as a proponent of “school choice”.

4. Supports and Participates with Liberty Minded NE Grassroots Efforts – Team Player
FAIL. Clarice Jackson may have support and participation in grassroots efforts… but they weren’t of the liberty minded persuasion. She is however supported by leftist groups like Revolutionary Action Party and NOISE.

5. Attends Local Meetings
FAIL. Until she declared her race, the only meetings Clarice attended were the ones for which she sat on the board.

6. Presents a Sense of Patriotism
FAIL. The main interaction had with Clarice Jackson she verbally attacked a NAGO member and Conservative sitting board member.

7. Outspoken/Well-spoken on Inalienable Rights
FAIL. Clarice speaks on about 2, maybe 3 topics. Dyslexia, African-American History, and supports anti-racist teaching which she insists is not the same thing as CRT.

8. Doesn’t Cater to False Narratives
FAIL. Clarice voted in favor of funds to provide anti-racist training to teachers in Douglas and Sarpy County. Even if it was not mandatory training, the fact of the matter is that Clarice supports both liberal agenda and accepts their money. Clarice also continues to cater to the concept of the “pandemic” causing a “learning loss”. A completely made up term to shirk the responsibility the policymakers of our educational institutions hold for causing irreparable harm due to covid-19 restrictions and medical mandates they implemented. Despite sitting on a board that deals with the training of teachers and education of students, she has never spoken publicly about the harm that masks are causing students, their families and teachers.

9. Acts/Serves/Talks/Promises in the Best Interest of Others – Type of Leader
FAIL. Clarice Jackson makes the bold claim that she is a true conservative. Yet her record and actions prove that to be false. She continues to accept endorsements from well-known RINOs such as Don Bacon, Hal Daub, Mayor Jean Stothert, and support from Senator Wayne and McKinney.

10. Prior Involvement/Achievements in Liberty Minded Efforts or Government
PASS/FAIL.
Clarice has been a member of the Learning Community Coordinating Council where she sides with the liberal near every time. She is also the founder and leader of Voice Advocacy Center which helps to advocate for people who struggle with dyslexia and provide support.

SCORE: 1.5/10

Summary of Candidate

Clarice Jackson has failed Nebraska’s Children in maintaining their innocence and protecting them from receiving radical education as a board member of the Learning Community Coordinating Council for Douglas and Sarpy County. Clarice has violated our trust to uphold true conservative values and to conduct with transparency and honesty to her constituents as a legislator for the state. Clarice Jackson does NOT qualify as a candidate that NAGO looks for.

Pertinent Evidence & Observations

The first image below is Clarice’s “explanation” for her support of school choice. Note her two criteria for supporting school choice is access to public dollars and getting to CHOOSE the school you want, and that it be free… All citizens have the right to a free public education. If they choose private school they can’t expect that to be free, but they also shouldn’t be expected to still pay taxes on a public school they aren’t utilizing.
The second image we believe to provide us a more clear picture of the type of “school choice” Clarice would support. The CUES Scholarship Banquet is hosted by CUES which you can see more about in the following 3 images.

We see several issues with the structure of this system. The concept of ALL services, health and social being provided by the school and the centralized governance while acceptable for a private school if they wish, would be completely unacceptable for government funded public schools. The idea that we can cross party lines to work together on the issues within our educational system is the exact mindset that has allowed the indoctrination to occur in the first place.

Clarice Jackson has been historically supported by leftist grassroots groups such as Revolutionary Action Party and NOISE. Today she is being endorsed by every RINO in the metro area including Don Bacon, Mayor Stothert, Hal Daub, and more.

Clarice sitting in the middle in red was an obvious opponent to our efforts that day. During this meeting there was a public hearing on their motion to accept funds from the Warren Buffet Institute to provide voluntary anti-racist training to teachers in the Douglas and Sarpy Counties. Clarice Jackson has insisted that anti-racist teachings are NOT CRT. We at NAGO wholeheartedly disagree.

At the end of the day, Clarice verbally attacked an ACTUAL conservative on the board, Tim Hall, as well as NAGO member Denise Bradshaw during her turn for public comment.

Sitting behind Clarice and the other liberal sitting board members are members of the Revolutionary Action Party. Clarice is NOT a member or leader of their efforts, she is simply supported by them because she doesn’t stand against the false narratives pushed by their efforts.

According to a comment made by another conservative board member of the learning community coordinating council, the votes often were 9-3, there are 4 “republicans” on the board, and Clarice isn’t one of those 3.

Clarice catering to the false narrative of made-up liberal terms… “Covid Learning Loss” is the most ridiculous cop out for the atrocious measures implemented by the schools and policy makers.

If Clarice doesn’t recognize this, she’s not truly aware of the extent of the medical mandates and their negative effects, or she doesn’t really care.

It is nice that they collected used books for families who wanted them.

We have 2 takeaways from this post.

Again, Clarice is supported by a women who supports many liberal agendas and candidates for office and many more found scattered throughout her Facebook page. The type of people you surround yourself with is typically a good indication of individuals beliefs and values or goals.
The other point being the pandering to the false narrative that was the “pandemic” that caused the problem rather than accepting that it was the misuse of administrative powers and restrictions imposed that caused the detrimental affects to students in the metro and across the state.

Email conversation with a Andrew Sullivan with Clarice’s campaign team. As you can see there is nothing more to her platform than the claim to stand for school choice. Unfortunately, there are plenty of liberals and socialists that support school choice and nothing shared with us would signify that Clarice is in fact a conservative.
