Beginning in April, Nebraskans Against Government Overreach will be leading a petition in Omaha to end the mask mandate and prevent such mandates from being imposed in the future.
Pursuant to Ordinance #36651 of the Omaha Charter, we the citizens of Omaha, can submit a petition signed by registered electors equal to at least 15 percent of the vote for the office of Mayor cast at the last preceding general city election.
Many people ask… What good is a petition? This petition, when enough signatures are obtained, goes to the City Council for a vote. At which point, we fully expect them to turn it down.
Fortunately! When the City Council votes no, the petitioned ordinance will go to a vote by the people at the next election – this May! If each person that signs the petition, shows up to vote in May – we CAN, and we WILL circumvent our local government completely!
When our government imposes unjust, unconstitutional ‘laws’, it is not only the Responsibility and Duty of the people to Disobey but also to Rise Up and Correct It.
When considering whether to sign this participation please consider this question. Do you want to live in a world where you cannot freely refuse a medical procedure, even a non-pharmaceutical one, that carries a risk of injury or death?
We’re not questioning your comfort level with mask wearing. No one is telling people they cannot wear a mask. However, continuing to extend a mandate in this manner creates a precedence that can be used in the future anytime the government deems it necessary. If we let politicians break the law in an emergency, they will create an emergency in order to break the law – this is what we’re witnessing today.
All of the studies supplied by the city staff is absolute propaganda based on outright lies and manipulated data.
All of the studies related to masks slowing the spread of covid-19 are not randomized controlled studies.
They were not evaluated for risk of bias.
They ALL were limited in the fact that they could not evaluate actual levels of compliance. (The vast majority of the general public would not qualify due to improper use of PPE.)
Many were funded by organizations with history of fraud, manipulated and withheld data and authors that declared conflicts of interest – i.e. receiving monetary incentive outside the study.
Almost everything else was anecdotal.
One interesting piece in there discussed reduced inoculation from wearing masks – note this is by design. If everyone can get side-effect free immunity through frequent exposure (without a mask) then there’s no need for a vaccine.
We however have provided 10 times the number of studies, providing established and well supported evidence that masks not only don’t help but when worn by the public (almost all improperly mind you) in contaminated environments, make the situation worse.
In fact, when you examine the actual RISKS of masks rather than just the faked “benefit” you’ll find that this is HURTING our children and community –

The average wearing time of the mask was 270 minutes per day. Impairments caused by wearing the mask were reported by 68% of the parents. These included irritability (60%), headache (53%), difficulty concentrating (50%), less happiness (49%), reluctance to go to school/kindergarten (44%), malaise (42%), impaired learning (38%), and drowsiness or fatigue (37%).
No one has discussed the FACT that these masks contain Teflon, other chemicals, fibers and debris. Breathing these things for extended periods of time can lead to other complications and possibly even lung cancer.
Cloth masks are completely useless against a virus and are ALSO dangerous. Rebreathing ones own viral debris is dangerous and the oxygen deprivation children suffer wearing masks all day will certainly cause neurological damage.

All for a virus with a 99% survival rate, for most.
The claim when the mask mandate was implemented was that the intention was to reduce the spread of covid-19. It’s been nearly 7 months and masks have had zero affect on the spread of covid-19 in the Omaha area and compliance is visibly high. Just recently it was eluded to the idea that Omaha Health Director, Adi Pour PhD, and Mayor Jean Stothert have all intentions of extending the mask mandate into 2024!
It is time we stand up to the medical tyranny and end the mask mandate. Which is why we will begin the petition in April. Our citizens can and will fix Omaha – with or without our local government.
